About the Role (Amazon Freight Partner): This is a career-defining opportunity for a professional CDL Class A Driver. You will be working for an Amazon Freight Partner (AFP), an independent, local trucking company that hauls exclusively for Amazon. As an AFP Driver, you are the critical link in Amazon's 'middle-mile' logistics network, responsible for hauling Amazon loads (in Amazon-branded tractors and trailers) between our Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, and other sites. We are looking for experienced, safety-conscious CDL drivers who value consistency, new equipment, and predictable routes. Unlike traditional OTR trucking, this role offers a stable schedule and allows you to be home every day. We are hiring for 'night shift' and 'weekend shift' schedules based out of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG) area. Your New Career – The Role: As a CDL Driver for an Amazon Freight Partner, your primary responsibility is the safe and reliable transportation of Amazon freight. You will be operating brand-new, state-of-the-art tractor-trailers (e.g., Volvo, Freightliner) equipped with advanced safety technology. Your routes are 'line haul' runs—predictable, round-trip routes that are 100% 'no-touch freight' (drop-and-hook). You will pick up a pre-loaded trailer from one Amazon site and drop it at another, then pick up another pre-loaded trailer to return. This is a role for a true professional who takes pride in safety, on-time performance, and maintaining their equipment. This is a full-time, W-2 employment position with a local company, not a 'gig' or 1099 role. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: Your career begins with a comprehensive, paid training and onboarding program. While CDL-A experience is required, 'no experience' with Amazon's specific yard procedures is needed. Our program covers: * **Amazon Technology:** You will be trained on the 'Amazon Relay' app, the technology that manages your schedule, routes, and check-in/check-out at all Amazon sites. * **Yard & Safety Procedures:** You will learn Amazon's specific safety protocols for navigating and operating within our busy fulfillment center yards, including drop-and-hook procedures and how to interact with yard support staff. * **Equipment Training:** You'll be familiarized with our new-model tractors and their advanced features (e.g., collision mitigation, lane departure warnings). A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is structured, predictable, and focused on driving. * **Start of Shift (e.g., 'Night Shift'):** You'll arrive at your DSP's local truck yard (near CVG) for your shift (e.g., 6:00 PM). You'll check in via the Relay app, get your route assignment, and perform a thorough pre-trip inspection (DVIR) on your assigned tractor. * **First Leg:** You'll drive the tractor (bobtail) to your first Amazon site (e.g., a Fulfillment Center). Using the Relay app, you'll find your pre-loaded trailer, hook up, and check out. * **Line Haul:** You will drive your scheduled route (e.g., a 4-hour drive to an Amazon Sortation Center in Indianapolis). This is 100% 'no-touch freight'. You are focused on safe, on-time driving. * **Drop & Hook:** You'll arrive at the destination site, drop your loaded trailer in the assigned spot, and then pick up your next pre-loaded trailer (which is heading back to your origin). * **Return Leg:** You will drive the return route back to the original Amazon site. * **End of Shift:** You'll drop the return trailer, drive the tractor back to your home yard, perform your post-trip inspection, and check out. Because your routes are predictable, you are home at the end of every shift. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Environment: This role offers a lifestyle that 'over-the-road' (OTR) trucking cannot. You are home every day. We run 24/7, so we have various schedules available. 'Night shift' and 'weekend shift' drivers are in high demand and often receive a shift differential. A typical schedule might be four 12-hour shifts followed by four days off, or five 8-hour shifts. You'll be working in a professional environment, operating top-of-the-line, well-maintained equipment. You are respected as a vital professional in the logistics chain. Why an Amazon Freight Partner? Working for an AFP provides the consistency of working with a world-class company (Amazon) and the culture of a small, local business. We offer highly competitive pay, comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k), paid time off, and performance bonuses. You are not just a number; you are a valued member of our team. This is a long-term career opportunity for a professional CDL driver who is ready for a stable, home-daily position.
