About the Role (Amazon Fulfillment Center - Process Guide): This is an 'entry-level' leadership support role at our Amazon Air Hub in Hebron, KY (CVG). A Process Guide (PG) is a subject matter expert in a specific warehouse department (e.g., Picking, Packing, Stowing) who supports the Area Manager. This is *not* a manager role; you do not have direct reports. Instead, you are the 'go-to' person for your team. You help train new hires, answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and ensure the process runs smoothly. We are looking for associates with some experience (either at Amazon or in a similar warehouse) who are ready to take the first step toward a leadership career. 'No experience' in a leadership role is required. We are hiring for 'night shift' and 'weekend shift' schedules. Your New Career – The Role: As a Process Guide, you are the 'process expert' for your area. While you will still perform associate tasks, a large part of your shift will be dedicated to supporting the team. You will be assigned to a specific 'night shift' or 'day shift' and will be responsible for helping your shift meet its goals. You will act as an 'Ambassador' (trainer) for new hires, track team performance on a simple dashboard, and be the first person associates turn to when they have a problem (like a jammed conveyor, a scanner issue, or a quality question). This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the warehouse process, and a talent for teaching and helping others. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: To become a Process Guide, you will first master the standard Warehouse Associate role for your department. From there, you will receive specialized, paid 'Ambassador' training, which teaches you how to train and mentor new hires. You will also be trained by your Area Manager on leadership basics, how to read production dashboards, and how to solve common process problems. This is a 'learn-by-doing' role where you gain leadership skills through hands-on experience. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is a blend of process work and team support on the 'night shift' (e.g., 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM): * **Start of Shift:** You'll huddle with the Area Manager to get the shift plan, understand performance goals, and find out if there are any new hires to train. * **Team Support:** You'll walk the floor, checking in with associates at their stations. You'll answer questions, provide tips, and help clear any 'blockages' (like a pile-up of totes). * **Training (Ambassador):** You may be assigned to train a 'new hire' class. You'll spend the shift with them, patiently demonstrating the process and coaching them as they learn. * **Problem-Solving:** When an associate's scanner freezes or a label printer jams, you'll be the first responder, attempting to fix the issue to keep the line moving. * **Process Work:** During lulls or to help meet goals, you will jump into a station and work as a standard associate, picking, packing, or stowing alongside your team. * **End of Shift:** You'll help your manager 'close out' the shift, ensuring all production is accounted for and the area is clean for the next team. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Environment: This role is for a natural leader and problem-solver. You are highly visible on the warehouse floor and must be able to communicate effectively and patiently. You'll be on your feet for the entire 10-hour shift, working in a fast-paced, noisy environment. This posting is for 'night shift' and 'weekend shift' schedules (e.g., Sun-Wed, 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM). Why this Process Guide Role? This is the most direct path to a management career at Amazon. You gain hands-on leadership and operational experience *without* the pressure of being a manager. It's the perfect 'next step' for a high-performing 'entry-level' associate or an external candidate with some warehouse experience. You receive a pay differential for the added responsibility and get all the 'Day 1' Amazon benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and the 'Career Choice' tuition program.
