About the Role (Amazon Fulfillment Center - ICQA): Join the Amazon team that ensures perfect quality for every customer. We are hiring Inventory Associates for our Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team at our Rialto, CA Fulfillment Center (ONT2). This is *not* a standard picking or packing role. As an ICQA Associate, you are a warehouse detective. Your job is to count inventory, audit processes, and find and fix problems to ensure our inventory is 100% accurate. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented 'entry-level' individual who enjoys problem-solving and can work independently. 'No experience' in inventory is required; we provide full, paid training. We are hiring for 'weekend shift' schedules. Your New Career – The Role: As an Inventory Associate, your primary duty is to maintain the accuracy of our building's inventory. You will use a handheld scanner to perform your tasks. Your role includes 'Cycle Count', where you will be counting items in specific bins to ensure the system's count matches the physical count. It also includes 'Process Audits', where you will observe other associates (like pickers or stowers) to ensure they are following the correct procedures. You are a guardian of quality, and your work prevents problems *before* they reach the customer. This is a physical role that requires standing and walking for a full 10-hour shift and lifting up to 49 lbs. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: 'No experience' is necessary. Your specialized, paid training will cover: * **Safety & Warehouse Navigation:** You'll learn to safely navigate all areas of the large fulfillment center. * **ICQA Technology:** You'll receive in-depth training on the handheld scanner and the specific software used for 'Cycle Count', 'Process Audit', and 'Problem-Solving'. * **Inventory Principles:** You'll learn the 'why' behind our inventory system, how 'bins' and 'pods' work, and how to identify and correct discrepancies. * **Auditing Techniques:** You'll learn how to professionally observe and record process adherence. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is independent and analytical: * **Start of Shift:** You'll arrive for your 'weekend shift' (e.g., a 'day shift' from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Friday-Monday). You'll attend a team stand-up meeting to get your assignment and review quality goals. * **On the Floor (Counting):** You'll take your scanner and a cart and go to your assigned area. Your scanner will direct you from bin to bin. At each bin, you will scan the location, then scan *every* item in that bin and enter the count. If your count doesn't match the system's, you'll recount or investigate. * **On the Floor (Auditing):** You may be assigned to audit a specific process. You'll stand near a packing station, for example, and use your scanner to log whether the packer is using the correct box size, applying tape correctly, etc., all based on a digital checklist. * **Problem-Solving:** When an issue is found (e.g., a missing item), you will use your scanner and training to investigate, helping to find the root cause. * **Physical Demands:** You will be on your feet for 10 hours, walking, standing, and using step-ladders. You must be comfortable with repetitive bending and lifting up to 49 lbs. * **End of Shift:** You'll log out, submit your final counts/audits, and check out with your manager. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Environment: This role is for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working alone and focusing on details. You'll be working throughout the large, climate-controlled warehouse. We are hiring for 'weekend shift' schedules, both 'day shift' (Fri-Mon, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and 'night shift' (Fri-Mon, 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM). These compressed 4-day schedules give you 3 days off per week. Why this ICQA Role? This is a fantastic 'entry-level' way to start a career in the analytical side of logistics. You are not just moving boxes; you are solving problems. This role is a direct stepping stone to leadership roles, Process Assistant (PA) roles, and other analytical positions in the Amazon network. You get all the 'Day 1' benefits of a full-time Amazon employee, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid tuition through 'Career Choice'.
