About the Role (Delivery Service Partner): Join a fast-growing local Delivery Service Partner (DSP) as a Part-Time Amazon Delivery Route Driver, based in Bakersfield, CA. This is the perfect role for students, individuals with another job, or anyone looking for a reliable, active, and independent part-time schedule. You will be delivering Amazon packages from a local delivery station to customers' homes and businesses. This is an 'entry-level' role; 'no experience' is necessary. We provide full, paid training on our vehicles, technology, and customer service expectations. We are specifically looking for candidates with 'weekend shift' availability (Saturday and Sunday). Your New Career – The Role: As a Delivery Route Driver, your core mission is to safely and efficiently execute a pre-planned delivery route. You will operate a company-provided cargo van and use a handheld 'Rabbit' device that gives you turn-by-turn navigation and all package information. This is a physically demanding role: you will be lifting, carrying, and delivering 150+ packages per shift, getting in and out of the van dozens of times, and walking/climbing stairs in all weather. This role requires a high degree of reliability, time management, and a customer-first attitude. You are the 'last mile' of the Amazon order, and your professionalism directly impacts the customer experience. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: 'No experience' is needed to start. Our paid training is comprehensive and designed to make you a safe, confident driver: * **Classroom & On-Road:** You'll learn defensive driving skills, vehicle safety checks, and get hands-on experience driving our cargo vans. * **Technology Mastery:** We'll teach you how to use the 'Rabbit' handheld device to manage your route, scan packages, and communicate with dispatch. * **Customer Service:** You'll learn the standards for package placement, how to follow customer notes, and how to provide a friendly, professional interaction. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is fast-paced and rewarding: * **Start of Shift:** Arrive at the Bakersfield station for your 'day shift' (e.g., 10:00 AM). You'll do a quick team huddle, get your van keys, and perform a pre-trip vehicle inspection. * **Load-Out:** You'll spend 15-20 minutes at the loading area, efficiently loading your van with your assigned route's packages, using your 'Rabbit' to organize. * **On the Route:** You'll spend the next 8-10 hours on the road, delivering packages. You'll be working independently, listening to music or podcasts, and managing your time to stay on schedule. * **End of Shift:** Return to the station, drop off your 'Rabbit' device and any undelivered packages, and perform a post-trip inspection. You're paid for the full block, even if you finish early. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Environment: This is a part-time position focused on 'weekend shift' availability (Saturday and/or Sunday). Additional 'day shift' schedules during the week may be available if desired. This is an outdoor job where you will be active and on your feet. It's perfect for someone who dislikes being in an office and enjoys the freedom of the open road. Why a DSP? As a W-2 employee of a local DSP, you get a stable, predictable job with the full backing and technology of Amazon. Unlike gig work, you get a company-provided vehicle (no wear and tear on your car), fuel, a uniform, and paid training. You are part of a supportive team that wants you to succeed. We offer competitive pay, paid time off, and opportunities to pick up more shifts.
